Wow, I looked out onto the arboretum from my desk and there was Martin the builder! A rare sight indeed, like seeing a spotted woodpecker! It seems the windows are coming today. Hoorah! I can't believe it. We haven't seen a builder for almost 3 weeks. Thanks goodness things are moving again.
Jim is due back from the UK tonight. I hope his ferry trip wasn't too rough, it's been so windy here for the past few days and is just the same today. He sent me a text message yesterday saying he was just setting off, only one more sleep and he'll be home. Aah, how sweet. He's actually going to a Horticultural meeting today somewhere in Ireland before he drives back later. he will be absolutely shattered.
I had a good Spring Clean yesterday so it's all spick and span for Jim's return. I always think it's good to come home to a clean house. Now I must get on. I was so excited about the windows I had to blog it! More later.

Windows there, washing up bowls here. Does this mean we are easily pleased?!
Oh I think it probably does Jinksy!! Ha ha. It's all happening here,.
Good morning from another Crafty Gardener.
Hello Crafty Gardener! Great minds think alike. I enjoyed your site.
I know how you felt when you spotted the builder with your windows. Our painters are here today to finish the columns in the dining room after a three month absence. I will be so happy to be finished! Glad Jim will soon be home. Have a great weekend.
Ohh theres posh, :-)
Hope you get your windows in this weekend - it has been dreadfully windy here too (Bristol area, UK). Jim will be glad to get home again. I know how you feel - each time I go into our newly decorated bathroom I get a little buzz of pleasure. Sad isn't it?
Hello Mildred, it's awful when they disappear, isn't it? I'm glad yours is getting finished. We're a way away from that yet. Jim is home safely. He had a very rough crossing!
Windows, posh, hmm, I suppose so son!
Hello Heather. The doors and windows are in bar one and it's already made a difference to the warmth in here (the old part). I can imagine just how you feel in your 'new' bathroom. Not sad at all, it just shows how much you're appreciating it.
