April 2, 2010. Down the Rabbit Hole Challenge Part 3

Down the Rabbit Hole Blind Challenge Part 3

For this part of the challenge, we had to cut our piece(s) into no fewer that six pieces, re-arrange them, then sew them back together again on another piece of fabric. I found this all quite difficult. I have been doing 2 pieces and here are my results:

Piece One, Side One. I cut this into just eight pieces and it made this rather odd, pineapple like shape! I am pleased that my hand stitching still shows - although some of it did come out.

This is Piece One, Side Two. All rather plain!

Piece Two, Side One

I should have photographed it on a plain background! This now looks rather like a cake! I cut lots of small pieces (19 I think) and this is the result. If you turn it on its side, it looks like an old fashioned camera.

Piece Two, Side Two

I think I prefer this side!!

What's next I wonder. If you go to Bea's blog, there are links to the others who are participating. It's lovely to see the different pieces that have been done, so far.

Happy Good Friday Everyone.

This looks good fun but SO comp;licated. I am still preoccupied with my back, which is by no means better - but am enjoying reading a few blogs. I do love your header - so peaceful. Thanks for your visits and your good wishes - and love to both.

I always find it scary cutting things up to reassemble them. I love the shape and colours of the first piece.

Fantastic work! Can't wait to see what happens next.

Lina is such a beautiful girl...I remember feeling so awkward at that age. In fact, I still do.

I love your pictures. Europe has all of that history and the beauty
we just don't have here.

Have a happy Easter Gina, xoxox

What a challenge. It looks like it is coming together though. A great exercise to get your mind and muse working in a different vein.

My mum must be my muse, mind you she always as been in no matter what I did or do.
I do love her so much.

Oh and thank you for the message. I haven't received anymore emails:

Just for double safety when you're ready. Give me a message here as I don't always receive my emails.
No obligation at all so no worries!
