I do love our tulips, so here is an unashamed heap of tulip photos from the garden!
A tulip on the Fairy Hill
Also on the Fairy Hill
My black tulips never fail to impress.
2 Raggy tulips. Last year there was one - next year?
I just love the glossy petals on these - new this year.
The same from above.
Red and yellow - striking.
A delicate white, blushed with pink.
Ice cream pink.
Like a crown with those pointed petals
Also new this year - I love these, the insides look as though they've been painted.
A close up of the pattern inside. You can even see the pollen on the right hand side.
These are in the arboretum bed.
I have more, but the upload is very slow tonight and I'm flying to the UK at 6.30am so I must get some sleep.
Off to see Jack for his 5th birthday which is on the 14th May. I am back next Monday. Have a good few days everyone.

I'm a very recent convert to tulips.
So very lovely. My dear grandmother had red tulips in her yard when I was a child. Happy Birthday to Jack!

The deer eat our tulip bulbs. :(
So, I will enjoy yours even more. :)Bea

I love tulips. I hope you saw the ones in Rachel's greenhouse, the odd raggy ones? They were lovely.

I love the vivid colours so much. I must plant some tulips for next spring.
Your garden is glorious! I love that you have a "fairy" hill. How did that come about? And that rock garden across from the front door is beautiful.
Thank you everyone for the lovely comments about my tulips and good wishes for Jack. He had a great time and I'm worn out!!
Patty, the Fairy Hill. I found some little toys on top of the hill and it just reminded me of fairies, thus it was named!
Blog of my trip soon.
